Aswatha Amarnath (Amar) is a Senior Vice President at Wipro and is the leader of Wipro’s U.S. Operations. He has three other global responsibilities: 1) he leads Wipro’s firm-wide efforts in helping growth-stage companies in the pre- or post-IPO stage that are native to cloud, 2) he leads Wipro’s approach to help Private Equity firms in building digitally-agile portfolio of companies, 3) and heads Wipro’s Silicon Valley Innovation Center (SVIC) in Mountain View, California. This center is a crucible of next generation digital and industry showcases across 25 sectors.

Michael is a Partner at TPG, a leading global private investment firm with approximately $120 billion of assets under management. He has helped establish TPG Real Estate’s efforts in Europe and is a member of TPG Real Estate’s Investment Committee and TPG Europe’s Executive Committee. He serves on the Board of Directors of several portfolio companies, including A&O Hostels, the largest hostel platform in Europe; Campo Properties, a residential and student housing venture in Portugal; Campus Living, a student housing platform in Germany; and Deutsche Office, a German office venture. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Tempore Properties SOCIMI, one of the leading public PRS platforms in Spain, and is also a member of the Board at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, a non-profit organization that supports seriously ill children. He holds a Diplôme de Grande École and a Master of Science in Management from ESCP Europe, and speaks German, Spanish, English, Portuguese and French.

Joe Abrams is Head of Private Debt, Europe within Mercer Alternatives, based in London. Mr. Abrams joined Mercer in 2010. Mr. Abrams is responsible for Private Debt fund investments - sourcing, evaluating and monitoring private debt opportunities across Europe. Mr. Abrams is a member of Mercer’s Solutions Group, the Private Debt Investment Committee, and the Private Debt Rating Review Committee. Before joining Mercer Mr. Abrams worked as a broker for ADM Investor Services, focusing on equity, interest rate and FX derivatives, and as an equity analyst for an asset management firm based in Jersey. Joe Abrams holds BA Hons in Management Studies from Nottingham University, and a MSc in Actuarial Science from Cass Business School. He is also a CFA Charterholder, and a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

Adalla Kim is a Reporter for Private Debt Investor at PEI Alternative Insight, where she covers private debt investments across Asia Pacific. Adalla joined from a Financial Times publication, having covered Korean institutional investments across asset classes and alternative investments in Asia Pacific. Before that, she was a Graduate Intern at Campbell Lutyens, a private equity and infrastructure advisory group headquartered in London. She has a bachelor’s degree in International Trade from Incheon National University and speaks Korean, English and Spanish.

Adam Berns is a Senior Managing Director and the Chief Investment Officer of GLP Capital Partners. Adam led numerous investments at GLP, including large debt and equity transactions in the U.S., GLP’s entry into Europe, and GLP’s sale of assets from its U.S. portfolio in the largest private real estate transaction globally. Prior to GLP, Adam worked at Och-Ziff and Blackstone in the real estate private equity groups. Adam graduated magna cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Tania Adir is co-founder and CEO of Uncommon, owner-operator of design-led and experienced-focused flexible office spaces in London.

With £250m backing from large institutional RE investors at the age of 28, Tania has grown Uncommon to 5 locations across London with its most recent 140,000 sqf acquisition of Templar House in High Holborn.

After qualifying as a solicitor with leading international law firm Allen & Overy, Tania turned her passion for real estate and design into developing award-winning residential schemes across London before founding Uncommon in 2015.

With a planned growth to 1m sqf in London and soon to expand to the continent, Uncommon has pioneered activity based working and has established itself as the leading flexible office brand designed for productivity and well-being helping their members thrive.

Amit is the Director of US Investments & Partnerships at Mahindra Partners Ventures, the Corporate Venture Capital of Mahindra Group. He has over 15 years in early stage venture investments across diverse areas ranging from cloud-native technologies, enterprise security, IoT, DevOps, smart manufacturing, robotics, mobility, clean-tech and ag-tech. His investments include Scoot Network – ride share electric scooters, Avaamo – Conversational AI, Cloudleaf – Cloud native IoT sensor mesh, Agtech AI Imagery – Resson and Gamaya, amongst others.

Amit has also pioneered industry leading research out of Stanford University on Corporate Venture Capital. In 2019, he was named as one of the Top 100 corporate venture capital professionals by Global Corporate Venturing. Amit has a Management degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he graduated as the Robert Joss Scholar.

Brendan Carroll is a Senior Partner at VPC, which he co-founded in 2007. He is responsible for strategic initiatives and firm operations in addition to sourcing, evaluating and executing investment opportunities. Mr. Carroll also oversees marketing, fundraising, business development and investor relations for the firm. He is a member of the firm’s Senior Leadership Team and Investment Committee.

Mr. Carroll serves as member of the board of directors of VPC portfolio company, johnnie-O.

Previously, as a member of the Solutions Group at Magnetar Capital, Mr. Carroll specialized in direct financings to lower middle market companies. He has held various investment banking positions at William Blair and Robertson Stephens, specializing in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Carroll has also worked in various capacities for former U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman (I- CT).

Mr. Carroll received a B.A. with honors in government from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Board of Regents at Georgetown University, the Finance Council of the Archdiocese of Chicago, the Board of Trustees at National Louis University and Loyola Press. He is also a director on the board of the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and is also a member of the board’s Finance Committee.

Jerry is a Managing Director of Slate Asset Management and is focused on the firm’s capital raising efforts for all of its private equity funds.

Jerry has over 12 years of experience in capital raising and distribution. Prior to joining Slate in 2020, Jerry served as Managing Director and Head of Funds Advisory - Americas at JLL, where he was primarily responsible for JLL’s private fund advisory efforts and capital raising activities in North America. Jerry was previously a Director in the Private Capital Advisory Group at Lazard Freres, where he led distribution and maintained key relationships with general partners and real estate operators in North America. Jerry also directed fundraising efforts for North American and European real estate funds while at Harbert Management Corporation.

Jerry holds a Bachelor Degree from Roanoke College and a MBA from Northeastern University.

r. Barbarino is a Senior Investment Officer for Alternative Credit in the Bureau of Asset Management, NYC Office of the Comptroller. In this role, his responsibilities include working with managers to implement investment strategies within the Alternative Credit portfolio, oversight of portfolio performance and risk, conducting research on investment themes, and performing due diligence on prospective managers.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Barbarino was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs in the Prime Services group, where he led the development of hedge fund related analysis and content. Before this, he was a Principal and Investment Strategist at The Carlyle Group where he worked with the private credit team and communicated investment strategy and themes to institutional investors.

Mr. Barbarino was also a Senior Research Consultant at NEPC, where he advised institutional investors on alternative investment plan development, portfolio construction, manager due diligence and monitoring, and a Senior Hedge Fund Analyst for the fund of funds subsidiary of Nationwide Insurance Company.

Mr. Barbarino received an M.B.A with a concentration in Finance from the University of Rochester, Simon School and earned a B.A. from Union College with majors in Economics and Music. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designee and holds Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses.

Caimin Jones joined Silver Lake in 2011 and is an Operating Partner. He has over 20 years of experience in both operational and advisory roles across multiple geographies and sectors.

Prior to Silver Lake, Mr. Jones was a Director in Alvarez & Marsal's Private Equity Performance Improvement Group in Europe, where he focused on operational turnarounds and carve outs. Prior to Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Jones worked for Marakon Associates, a boutique strategy consulting firm, where he worked on growth oriented projects in the financial services and pharmaceutical industries.

Mr. Jones started his career as a software engineer for Aldiscon Ltd. and subsequently managed turn-key energy infrastructure projects at Siemens AG.

Ms. Lan Cai, CFA, is Deputy Chief Investment Officer of The Pension Boards - United Church of Christ, she also invests for the UCF endowment. Her focuses are global asset allocation and manager selection in all asset classes. A 20-year veteran of the financial industry, Ms. Cai has served as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Millennium Partners, where she managed a global event-driven portfolio. Prior to Millennium, Ms. Cai spent 12 years at PineBridge Investments and its predecessor, AIG Global Investments. She was Managing Director and Head Portfolio Manager for multi-billion dollar equity strategies that span the continuum of Portable Alpha Index Plus, Global Research Enhanced, Tax-efficient High Income, and Merger Arbitrage. Ms. Cai chaired the firm's Product Committee and was a member of the Investment Committee. She started her career at the CME Group in 1996 and became a Director of Financial Product Research and Development. Ms. Cai received an MBA from the University of Chicago and is a CFA charterholder. She serves on hedge fund and non-for-profit boards, and is an active member of the Economic Club of New York.

Robert Thompson, CFA, CAIA is a Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for Credit for the UPS Investments Group. In this role, Robert has responsibility for the plan’s Credit investments capturing both Private and Public exposures. Robert’s role includes sourcing, strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions, manager selection and due diligence and performance monitoring. He joined UPS in July 2011 and was previously a Portfolio Manager at ING Investment Management for five years. He has sixteen years of investment experience and is a CFA and CAIA charter holder. He graduated with an MBA from Wake Forest University and a BS in Management from Georgia Tech.

Mr. Silverman joined Meketa Investment Group in 2008 and has 15 years of experience in the financial services industry including 12 years of private markets investment experience. A Principal of the firm, Mr. Silverman works in the Private Markets Group focusing on private equity, private debt, and real estate investments. He leads the private equity and private debt research teams with responsibility for managing fund sourcing and relationships, research, and due diligence for those asset classes, as well as client service and other research. He also serves on the Advisory Board for a number of private equity and private debt limited partnerships on behalf of the firm’s clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Silverman was employed as an investment research analyst with Liberty Mutual in its private equity investments group. Prior to that, he also held positions in corporate finance and internal audit with Liberty Mutual. Mr. Silverman received a Bachelor of Arts degree with concentrations in Economics and International Relations from Colgate University. Mr. Silverman holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society. He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation and is a member of the CAIA Association®.

Caimin Jones joined Silver Lake in 2011 and is an Operating Executive. He has over 20 years of experience in both operational and advisory roles, with extensive cross-European experience in multiple sectors.

Prior to Silver Lake, Mr. Jones was a Director in Alvarez & Marsal's Private Equity Performance Improvement Group in Europe, where he worked with a range of private equity sponsored businesses, typically related to operational turnarounds and carve outs, and managed the transitional services for Lehman Brothers Holdings in Europe. Prior to Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Jones worked for Marakon Associates, a boutique strategy consulting firm, where he worked on large scale, growth oriented projects in the financial services and pharmaceutical industries.

Mr. Jones started his career as a software engineer developing short messaging systems for mobile networks and subsequently managed large-scale energy infrastructure projects at Siemens AG. Mr. Jones holds a B.Eng. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Limerick, Ireland, an M.B.A from IMD Business School in Switzerland and an L.L.B from the Open University in the U.K.
